Guests are invited to step into the Professor of Stories’ antique research desk, where a single, thoughtfully posed question invites reflection on hope, healing, and the impact of healthcare. After receiving a tea-stained index card, guests write their response and add it to a softly lit wall installation, where hundreds of handwritten moments slowly come together throughout the evening. The result is a living portrait of collective care, a visual story authored by the community and preserved as a lasting legacy for Essentia Health. The Guest Journey The Invitation Guests are drawn to the Professor of Stories’ antique research desk, styled with well-worn books, handwritten notes, and quiet curiosities that signal a place of reflection within the Enchanted Library. *The Question (spoken by the Professor) One carefully chosen question, such as: “What gives you hope?” “Every good story needs…” “A moment that changed everything…” “A truth worth holding onto…” "What endures? “A legacy of care looks like…” “What we’re building together…” *The Writing Ritual Guests are given a tea-soaked index card from the professor and move to cocktail tables with plumes to write their response. *The Contribution Guests pin their handwritten card onto a simple, softly lit wall installation designed to hold hundreds of individual reflections. As the evening unfolds, the wall gradually fills, becoming a visual story authored by the community. *The Legacy By the end of the event, the installation stands as a collective expression of care and generosity. The completed piece can be preserved and displayed as a lasting symbol of shared hope and the impact of healthcare close to home.
